چکیده
We investigate the influence of the composition of the board of directors and stock ownership patterns on the decision to enter markets in Central and Eastern Europe. Our findings suggest that board composition alone does not influence the entry decision while firms with less concentrated stock ownership were more likely to enter these developing markets. We also found that while better performing firms were attracted to opportunities in Central and Eastern Europe, firms with poor prior performance and outside dominated boards were also more likely to enter these markets. © 1999 Elsevier Science Inc. متن کاملMaximum h-Colourable Subgraph Problem in Balanced Graphs
The k-fold clique transversal problem is to locate a minimum set of vertices of a graph such that every maximal clique has at least k elements of. The maximum h-colourable subgraph problem is to nd a maximum subgraph of a graph which is h-colourable. We show that the k-fold clique transversal problem and the maximum h-colourable subgraph problem are polynomially solvable on balanced graphs. We ...
متن کاملCompiler-Based Tools for Analyzing Parallel Programs
In this paper, we present several tools for analyzing parallel programs. The tools are built on top of a compiler infrastructure, which provides advanced capabilities for symbolic program analysis and manipulation. The tools can display characteristics of a program and relate this information to data gathered from instrumented program runs and other performance analysis tools. They also support...

This paper discusses several factors influencing the evaluation of the degree of interestingness of rules discovered by a data mining algorithm. This article aims at: (1) drawing attention to several factors related to rule interestingness that have been somewhat neglected in the literature; (2) showing some ways of modifying rule interestingness measures to take these factors into account; (3)...
